During the Bergman Week he met French filmmaker Mia Hansen-Love. After this he started working with development on her new film set on Fårö, Sweden. After helping with script, location scouting and initial funding he made his debut as an actor playing himself in a major supporting role alongside Mia Wasikowska, Vicky Krieps, Tim Roth and Anders Danielsen-Lie in the film which became titled BERGMAN ISLAND. The film premiered in the main competition of Festival De Cannes 2021.
He has made short films that have been screened at film festivals all over the world. Among them A HOME FOR CARE AND LIVING (2017) which won in pitching at Frame Festival and was selected at the Norwegian Short Film Festival In Grimstad. HANNA (2015) screened at Reykjavik International Filmfestival. MEETINGS IN TRAVERSE (2014) was screened at Odense International Film Festival and Uppsala Short Filmfestival. He also worked on the feature documentary IN THE COUNTRY which won the the jury price at Cph:Doc in 2014 and was screened at Göteborg Film Festival.
With his dramatic and documentary work he has gained attention in commerical areas leading to him being highly requested as a commercial director and DoP, often shooting his own films and this has attracted the attention of other directors leading to collaborations as a DoP.
